BA Accounting was founded by Bill Yates and Anne Utz in October 2013.  Sherri & Greg Bard purchased the business in February 2023 and have continued the philosophy of providing a welcoming and supportive environment where clients feel comfortable discussing their individual needs.

After many years in public practice, Bill has retired, and you may find Anne drop in every now and then.

 

 

SHERRI BARD

As the new owner of BA Accounting & Advisory, Sherri is committed to continuing to provide friendly, personalised service and high-quality technical advice. She is proactive, energetic and passionate about all aspects of accounting, taxation and business improvement.

Sherri is a local tax accountant who grew up in Prenzlau and moved to Bathurst to study at Charles Sturt University where she started her career as an Accountant. She has extensive experience with:

• Complex corporate structures involving family businesses and self-managed superannuation funds
• Inter-generational business succession planning and transition implementation
• Rural and primary production issues including cash flow planning and management
• Accounting and operational software advisory, set-up and training
• Business advisory including appraisals, benchmarking and cash flow forecasting

As a Chartered Accountant and Registered Tax Agent, Sherri brings a practical and solutions-focused approach to accounting and enjoys working with motivated and entrepreneurial people and organisations.

Sherri has an active lifestyle and outside of work she enjoys going to Gym and drinking coffee. 

 

 

JENNIFER HOLT

As an accountant, Jennifer strives to provide quality and professional client support to assist business owners to become financially conversant with all aspects of their business.

Jen has considerable experience in tax, accounting and audit to an extensive range of clients. Predominately, Jen is focused on assisting clients with self-managed superannuation funds. She can also an assist individuals and businesses with their compliance requirements, including financial statement and tax return preparation.

Jennifer joined BA Accounting in October 2021, she is a valued member of the team and her professional attitude and dedication to continuing professional development is commendable. Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and a CPA certification.

Outside of work, Jennifer enjoys volunteering with Parkrun and cycle touring.
